Need some inspiration?

Start your day with some Braves rally music!! I was looking around at different Braves merchandise and came across this CD. Braves: The Ultimate Rally CD. This was released during the summer of 2000 and is a combination of radio playcalls and music. I would have been happy with a cd full of playcalls from season's past. The music is nothing special, stuff that you may see from an ESPN Sports Jam compilation. Except for the song "Peaches" from the Presidents. The only reason that made it has to be the association with the Georgia Peach.

  • I would trade Thomson in a packaged deal with an OF or Betemit for Barry Zito. Hudson and Zito would be the perfect 1-2 punch.

  • rangerlee-Not unless it's an act of desperation will the Braves get Zito. It's not justifiable. I wouldn't mind Zito as a Brave, but he'll be a free agent after the year and will likely land a big paycheck.

Plus Chuck James is on the way as the next big lefty.

  • I'd be very surprised to see Oakland accept Thomson and Betemit for Zito.

Zito should be able to get much more than a veteran #4 and a positionless prospect.

Assume Beane knows the Braves prospects (Saltalamacchia and James).

I wonder, though, if he would stay away from dealing with Schulerholz after getting fleeced in the Hudson trade?

  • Rotomusing-

Good point. If Beane is going to deal with Atlanta he would want the top of the line prospects and then some to make up for the Huddy deal.
