Betemit traded to Dodgers

This is a suprise. The Dodgers came out of nowhere to land Betemit. I didn't think they were looking for middle infielders. Anyway the Braves in return received RP Danys Baez and utility IF Willy Aybar. Baez was highly sought after during the offseason by many teams including the Braves. Aybar is from the Pete Orr mold. I'm not to keen of this deal. My point is that the Braves acquired Wickman, but we can't maintain a lead to get to him. So, we get Baez who is in a dissapointing season and another utility guy. Betemit is needed more to this team now than ever. Chipper might be going to the DL after he left yesterday's game with another strained oblique. Pete Orr will be playing 3B in the meantime. Enough rambling....now let's beat the Mets!!

*Update* I'm a little late adding this but Jorge Sosa was designated for assignment to make room for Baez. Thankfully, the Jorge Sosa Era has came to an end.
