Betemit Trade pt. 2 & More Rumblings....

Aybar had a nice debut, but so did Wilson out in L.A. One thing I wanted to point out is that the Braves have made two deals this month that needed to have been made before the season. Fans of the team know very well coming into this year there was no way Chris Reitsma would maintain closership all year. He was good at times in 2005, but not nearly consistent enough. This year the bullpen has been in shambles, and it is only now that we have some sort of guidance. Bob Wickman was a good addition to this team while Danys Baez could become a good addition. Even with Wickman and Baez we can't use them if were not winning. That was the case this past weekend as the Mets just steamrolled into Atlanta and displayed a public whoop'en. It hurts losing to the Mets, but it hurts even more to watch how they did it. Well there's my frustrations for now...By the way, Happy Deadline Day!!

Here's a question for anyone to answer....Do you think Schuerholz plans to resign Baez for '07 and will he be the closer for next year?
